Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2019, among all South Dakota counties, Minnehaha County had the highest percentage of its population who identified their ethnicity as Non-Hispanic Black or African American (6.25%), followed by Brown County (1.97%), and Yankton County (1.94%).
