Based on data from the CDC, the overall number of fatal drug overdose deaths involving Any stimulants in the US in 2021 was 28,136, and the age adjusted rate per 100,000 persons was 18.8. These overall values was based on data from 33 jurisdictions (i.e. states and DC).

Among all states with data, Ohio had the highest number of fatal drug overdose deaths involving Any stimulants (2,929), followed by Pennsylvania (2,702), North Carolina (2,217), and Arizona (1,533).

In terms of the age-adjusted rate of fatal drug overdose deaths involving Any stimulants per 100K persons, West Virginia had the highest (56.8), followed by New Mexico (31.6), and Kentucky (29.7).
