Non-Compliance Description:

At approx.. 0620 while attempting to conduct Antemortem I, CSI REDACTED III observed the following Non-Compliance. Large amount of fecal and urine throughout the livestock pen areas were observed. This Fecal and urine combined causes a muddy material which makes it very slippery for animals. Animals should be free from slips and falls. As well as a large number of nates flying. Cleanliness of the livestock pens daily is very important. REDACTED was informed of my finding and was given a warning on 6/28/2021 in the form of and MOI(ZEN17060622301). The MOI informed management of the establishment as to the upkeep and sanitation of the holding pens (up and down stairs). Per regulation 313.1 (b) Floors of livestock pens, ramps, and driveways shall be constructed and maintained so as to provide good footing for livestock. Slip resistant or waffled floor surfaces, cleated ramps and the use of sand, as appropriate, during winter months are examples of acceptable construction and maintenance.
