Hats Category VIII Stunning Effectiveness At approximately 07:10 I, CSI REDACTED, observed the establishment bring a cow into the knock box and restrained in the head catch. The establishment stun operator delivered an initial stun attempt with a captive bolt device that was ineffective, as the cow stumbled down slightly but remained upright, exhibiting a righting reflex and conscious vocalization. The employee immediately rendered a second stun which effectively rendered the animal insensible, and it remained so thereafter. The knock box was tagged with US Retain tag #B41277049 and the establishment owner/manager REDACTED was notified of the regulatory control action and of the forthcoming non-compliance record.

HATS Category VIII: Stunning effectiveness On 1/12/2022, at approximately 725 hours I, CSI REDACTED, and SPHV REDACTED observed the following noncompliance. A cow was placed into the knock box. The initial stun attempt with the captive bolt was ineffective and the animal remained standing. An immediate and effective corrective action stun attempt was delivered by captive bolt which rendered the animal insensible, and it remained so thereafter. US Rejected/Retained Tag No. B41277050 was affixed to the knock box, and REDACTED, Slaughter Floor Lead, was notified of the non-compliance and regulatory control action.
