At approximately 2:40 p.m. while performing humane handling task ante-mortem I observed the following noncompliance: A lamb that was being presented for antemortem walked towards the loading trailer and went down while the other lambs continued being moved. While other animals (lamb) were being directed towards the trailer, this animal was in their path and the workers were moving lambs from the back of the group and did not see the lamb down. I had to stop the operation and had an employee guide the lamb onto the trailer individually. I notified Mr. REDACTED of the noncompliance.

At approximately 1320, while watching the Halal ritual slaughter of goats, the following noncompliance was observed: Dr. REDACTED and I observed a plant employee grab the leg of a goat to remove it from the transport trailer to the slaughter trailer where the goats are slaughtered. The goat dropped to its side once grabbed. The employee failed to minimize excitement of the goat while bringing it onto the slaughter trailer, before it was positioned for Halal slaughter, and before any cuts were made. Mr. REDACTED, plant owner, was notified of the noncompliance.
