On March 3, 2022 at approximately 7:36 am, during a PHV Humane Handling Assessment with Dr. REDACTED, REDACTED observed the following noncompliance: While performing the review and observation component of the humane handling task and verifying HATS category III water availability, it was observed that there was no water available in any of the holding pens for cattle or pigs. REDACTED, slaughter employee was made aware of the situation and immediately made a corrective action by filling water troughs. Dr. REDACTED re-observed the holding pens and water was made available to all the animals in the holding pens in the barn area. Ms. REDACTED, HACCP Coordinator, was made aware both verbally and through the issuance of this non-compliance record. Ms. REDACTED stated that he will address the situation with the Slaughter Floor Manager.
