An initial stun attempt with a 410 shotgun was delivered and observed to contact the animal, but was ineffective, as the hog remained standing and vocalizing. The stunner delivered an immediate and effective corrective action utilizing a second shot from the same firearm, rendering the hog insensible, and it remained so thereafter. The stunning chute was rejected using Tag # B-31985640. Establishment manager, REDACTED was notified of the non-compliance.

There was a bucket available but was empty. REDACTED, plant manager, was informed of the non-compliance with 9 CFR 313.2(e).
