HATS Category III On June 22nd, 2023 during an odd hour inspection, at approximately 0530, I observed pen #1 of the establishment holding 3 beef with no access to water as well as pen #6 holding 2 swine with no access to water. I informed plant management of my finding as soon as someone was available, and the animals were supplied water immediately. This noncompliance fails to meet regulatory requirements of 9 CFR 313.2(e).

HATS Category II On March 22nd, 2023 at approximately 1330, I observed pen #9 of the establishment having several locations of broken wire and holes in the fencing that would be potentially hazardous to animals being kept in the area. In pen #4, I observed a broken metal shelf on the wall that was approximately 5’5’’ from the floor with sharp edges. In pen #5 (suspect pen), I observed the corner of the pen breaking away from the building, the concrete blocks that are approximately 1 ft wide have separated from the wall from the floor to the ceiling and is creating a space large enough for an animal to get it’s head stuck in. I verbally informed the owner, REDACTED, of my findings and that the pens have reject tags on them. This noncompliance fails to meet regulatory requirements of 9 CFR 313.1.

I informed plant management of my findings, and the animals were supplied water immediately. This noncompliance fails to meet regulatory requirements of 9 CFR 313.2(e).

HATS Category III On October 24th, 2022, at approximately 0715, while performing a Humane Handling review and observation task, I, CSI REDACTED, observed 4 pigs in holding pen 5 without access to water. I informed plant management of my findings, and the animals were supplied water immediately. This noncompliance fails to meet regulatory requirements of 9 CFR 313.2(e) "Animals shall have access to water in all holding pens and, if held longer than 24 hours, access to feed."
