HATS Category VIII: Stunning Effectiveness On Wednesday, March 8th2023 at approximately 10:45 CST, PHV Hannah Ennis and relief IIC REDACTED observed an establishment employee deliver a stun to a sow, in the knocking box, with the primary 22 rifle. This first stun was ineffective, as the animal remained standing and vocalized. The second establishment kill floor employee was at the ready with the backup 22 magnum rifle, steadied himself, and delivered an immediate and effective corrective action stun, which rendered the animal insensible, and it remained so thereafter. Establishment manager, Mr. REDACTED was notified of the non-compliance, and the knock-box was tagged with USDA Reject B30299549.
