On Tuesday, August 8, 2023, FI REDACTED notified me CSI REDACTED upon my arrival to the establishment at 0655 hours that right before performing antemortem inspection he observed that there was no water available for 11 steers that were in the lane between the antemortem pens, and this is a noncompliance with (HATS: Category III-Water and Feed Availability) under 9CFR 313.2(e) which states that animals shall have access to water at all times. Mr. REDACTED informed QA Manager REDACTED about his findings and immediate corrective action was taken by moving the 11 steers to a pen where there was water readily available. These cattle were unloaded sometime between late Monday afternoon (8/7/23) or early Tuesday morning (8/8/23). After gathering all pertaining information, I CSI REDACTED notified QA Manager REDACTED that this constitutes a noncompliance and that one will be issued for the above findings. This is a violation of 9CFR 313.2(e).
