HATS Category III Water and Feed Availability On 4/15/24 at SAN Meat Packing M9085 at approximately 1000 hours, I, CSI REDACTED witnessed the following Non-Compliance while performing the Livestock Humane Handling Verification Task: While conducting Antemortem Inspection of the livestock I noticed that in pen one that was housing a beef cow, the water bucket was dry, and that the drain cover was off the drain, leaving the drain exposed to the animal. I then immediately notified REDACTED, the Establishment Assistant Operations Manager of the Non-Compliance with 9 CFR 313.1(a) and 9 CFR 313.2(e). He then went out and filled the animals water bucket as well as covered the drain back up.
