At approximately 0600 hrs. and 0800 hrs., I observed the following noncompliance during antemortem inspection and during slaughter operations: At 0600 hrs.while performing antemortem, there was not available water for 10 hogs/pigs inside the assigned pen. Most of the pigs were lying down. Once Mr. REDACTED added water to the container, when informed, the pigs immediately stood up to drink water. At 0800 hrs. in the slaughter area, I observed at least 3 lambs hiding under the picker equipment. In addition, the door to the ramp that conducts to the enclose cage, in which animals such as cow and pigs are stunned, was open allowing four other lambs to walk in the bleeding/hoisting -slaughter area. One lamb was observed moving thru the slaughter area behind me. Operations were stopped, until corrective actions were taken. This is failure to comply with 9CFR 313.2(e) and 313.15(b)(1)(iii). Mr. REDACTED was informed.
