According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average weekly wage for the United States in 2002 Q3 was $683. Among all US states and DC, District of Columbia had the highest average weekly wage ($1,063), followed by Connecticut ($843), and Massachusetts ($830).

On the other hand, Montana had the lowest average weekly wage ($490), followed by South Dakota ($501), and North Dakota ($503).
