According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average weekly wage for the United States in 2005 Q3 was $777. Among all US states and DC, District of Columbia had the highest average weekly wage ($1,262), followed by Connecticut ($966), and Massachusetts ($947).

On the other hand, Montana had the lowest average weekly wage ($564), followed by South Dakota ($567), and Mississippi ($573).
