According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average weekly wage for the United States in 2007 Q2 was $820. Among all US states and DC, District of Columbia had the highest average weekly wage ($1,353), followed by Connecticut ($1,033), and New York ($1,017).

On the other hand, South Dakota had the lowest average weekly wage ($589), followed by Mississippi ($608), and Montana ($611).
