According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average weekly wage for the United States in 2007 Q3 was $818. Among all US states and DC, District of Columbia had the highest average weekly wage ($1,377), followed by Connecticut ($1,022), and New York ($1,008).

On the other hand, South Dakota had the lowest average weekly wage ($598), followed by Mississippi ($607), and Montana ($609).
