According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average weekly wage for the United States in 2010 Q1 was $889. Among all US states and DC, District of Columbia had the highest average weekly wage ($1,504), followed by New York ($1,282), and Connecticut ($1,206).

On the other hand, Mississippi had the lowest average weekly wage ($630), followed by South Dakota ($633), and Montana ($633).
