According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average weekly wage for the United States in 2010 Q2 was $865. Among all US states and DC, District of Columbia had the highest average weekly wage ($1,505), followed by New York ($1,081), and Connecticut ($1,075).

On the other hand, South Dakota had the lowest average weekly wage ($632), followed by Mississippi ($652), and Idaho ($652).
