According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average weekly wage for the United States in 2010 Q4 was $972. Among all US states and DC, District of Columbia had the highest average weekly wage ($1,688), followed by Connecticut ($1,226), and New York ($1,219).

On the other hand, Mississippi had the lowest average weekly wage ($707), followed by South Dakota ($714), and Montana ($722).
