According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average weekly wage for the United States in 2011 Q3 was $916. Among all US states and DC, District of Columbia had the highest average weekly wage ($1,524), followed by Connecticut ($1,118), and Massachusetts ($1,115).

On the other hand, Mississippi had the lowest average weekly wage ($680), followed by South Dakota ($684), and Montana ($687).
