According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average weekly wage for the United States in 2012 Q2 was $902. Among all US states and DC, District of Columbia had the highest average weekly wage ($1,543), followed by Connecticut ($1,111), and Massachusetts ($1,109).

On the other hand, Idaho had the lowest average weekly wage ($670), followed by South Dakota ($677), and Mississippi ($681).
