According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average weekly wage for the United States in 2012 Q4 was $1,000. Among all US states and DC, District of Columbia had the highest average weekly wage ($1,704), followed by New York ($1,280), and Connecticut ($1,254).

On the other hand, Mississippi had the lowest average weekly wage ($720), followed by Idaho ($732), and South Dakota ($749).
