According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average weekly wage for the United States in 2013 Q1 was $989. Among all US states and DC, District of Columbia had the highest average weekly wage ($1,616), followed by New York ($1,361), and Connecticut ($1,319).

On the other hand, Mississippi had the lowest average weekly wage ($695), followed by Idaho ($695), and Montana ($707).
