According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average weekly wage for the United States in 2013 Q3 was $922. Among all US states and DC, District of Columbia had the highest average weekly wage ($1,561), followed by Massachusetts ($1,130), and Connecticut ($1,109).

On the other hand, Mississippi had the lowest average weekly wage ($688), followed by Idaho ($703), and Montana ($706).
