According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average weekly wage for the United States in 2013 Q4 was $1,000. Among all US states and DC, District of Columbia had the highest average weekly wage ($1,636), followed by New York ($1,266), and Massachusetts ($1,258).

On the other hand, Mississippi had the lowest average weekly wage ($730), followed by Idaho ($752), and South Dakota ($759).
