According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average weekly wage for the United States in 2014 Q1 was $1,026. Among all US states and DC, District of Columbia had the highest average weekly wage ($1,709), followed by New York ($1,460), and Connecticut ($1,362).

On the other hand, Mississippi had the lowest average weekly wage ($706), followed by Idaho ($720), and Montana ($731).
