According to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average weekly wage for the United States in 2016 Q2 was $988. Among all US states and DC, District of Columbia had the highest average weekly wage ($1,622), followed by Massachusetts ($1,233), and Connecticut ($1,211).

On the other hand, Mississippi had the lowest average weekly wage ($726), followed by Idaho ($740), and South Dakota ($759).
