According to recent data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, in December 2022, the United States not seasonally adjusted Consumer Price Index for all urban consumers (CPI-U): Urban Hawaii was 409.031 and the 12-month percent change (inflation rate) was 25.6%. The following item categories had the highest not seasonally adjusted 12-month percent change in CPI-U:

  1. Household energy: 32.7%
  2. Motor fuel: 19.2%
  3. Food at home: 8.1%
