According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in February, 2023, California added the highest number of jobs to the federal government public administration industry (608), followed by Florida (552), and Maryland (358).

On the other hand, Virginia added the least number of jobs (-408), followed by Kentucky (-105), and Georgia (-94).
