According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in May, 2023, California added the highest number of jobs to the local government service-providing industry (10,972), followed by Illinois (9,308), and Ohio (7,236).
On the other hand, Wisconsin added the least number of jobs (-4,337), followed by Alaska (17), and Hawaii (51).
