According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in January, 2023, Oklahoma added the highest number of jobs to the private oil and gas extraction industry (730), followed by Louisiana (205), and California (110).

On the other hand, Texas added the least number of jobs (-462), followed by Pennsylvania (-390), and West Virginia (-108).
