According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in March, 2023, Texas added the highest number of jobs to the private oil and gas extraction industry (334), followed by Oklahoma (71), and West Virginia (37).

On the other hand, Alabama added the least number of jobs (-70), followed by California (-52), and Arkansas (-3).
