According to recent data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, in June, 2023, Indiana added the highest number of jobs to the private primary metal manufacturing industry (325), followed by Pennsylvania (301), and Alabama (232).

On the other hand, Kansas added the least number of jobs (-14), followed by Mississippi (-13), and Rhode Island (-10).
