According to data from the US BLS, the unemployment rate of New Jersey was 3.9% (sa) in August, 2018. Among all New Jersey counties, these 3 were among those with high unemployment rates (nsa): Cumberland (5.9%), Salem (5.1%), and Essex (5%).

On the hand, the following three counties were among those with low unemployment rates (nsa): Hunterdon (3%), Morris (3.1%), and Somerset (3.3%).
