According to the FBI UCR data, in 2022, there were 6,680 adult arrests made in US cities for murder and nonnegligent manslaughter offenses.

By Race: The highest number of those arrested were identified as Black or African American (4.07K), followed by White (2.41K), and Asian (91).

By Ethnicity: Ethnicity information was reported for 5,585 (84%) of those arrested. Among those for whom ethnicity was reported, the highest number were identified as Not Hispanic or Latino (4.38K), followed by Hispanic or Latino (1.21K).
