Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2012, the citizen voting-age population for Maryland was 4,045,435 and represented 69.92% of the total Maryland population.

Among all Maryland counties, Montgomery had the highest citizen voting-age population (596.14K), followed by Baltimore (590.43K), and Prince George's (560.02K).

In terms of percentages, Allegany had the highest percentage of its population being citizens of voting-age (81.16%), followed by Somerset (80.93%), and Kent (79.61%).
