Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2013, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population for Iowa was 1,251,565 and represented 42.03% of the total Iowa citizen population.

Among all Iowa counties, Polk had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population (22.89K), followed by Scott (12.43K), and Black Hawk (11.79K).

In terms of percentages, Black Hawk had the highest percentage of its citizen population being Non-Hispanic Black Alone (9.21%), followed by Scott (7.57%), and Polk (5.51%).
