Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2013, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population for New Jersey was 1,251,565 and represented 15.80% of the total New Jersey citizen population.

Among all New Jersey counties, Essex had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population (284.02K), followed by Union (105.93K), and Camden (91.59K).

In terms of percentages, Essex had the highest percentage of its citizen population being Non-Hispanic Black Alone (41.45%), followed by Union (23.13%), and Mercer (20.33%).
