Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2014, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population for South Carolina was 1,259,335 and represented 27.48% of the total South Carolina citizen population.

Among all South Carolina counties, Richland had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population (178.37K), followed by Charleston (104.52K), and Greenville (83.62K).
