Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2021, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population for South Carolina was 1,315,935 and represented 26.69% of the total South Carolina citizen population.

Among all South Carolina counties, Richland had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population (193.23K), followed by Charleston (102.01K), and Greenville (88.14K).
