Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2016, the citizen voting-age population for Maryland was 4,212,265 and represented 70.68% of the total Maryland population.

Among all Maryland counties, Montgomery had the highest citizen voting-age population (641.53K), followed by Baltimore (605.36K), and Prince George's (589.56K).

In terms of percentages, Allegany had the highest percentage of its population being citizens of voting-age (81.10%), followed by Somerset (80.37%), and Worcester (80.20%).
