Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2016, the citizen voting-age population for New Jersey was 6,087,275 and represented 68.28% of the total New Jersey population.

Among all New Jersey counties, Bergen had the highest citizen voting-age population (628.72K), followed by Middlesex (534.21K), and Essex (513.66K).

In terms of percentages, Cape May had the highest percentage of its population being citizens of voting-age (79.74%), followed by Sussex (76.37%), and Hunterdon (75.47%).
