Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2016, the citizen voting-age population for Vermont was 493,535 and represented 78.81% of the total Vermont population.

Among all Vermont counties, Chittenden had the highest citizen voting-age population (125.10K), followed by Rutland (48.56K), and Washington (46.58K).

In terms of percentages, Rutland had the highest percentage of its population being citizens of voting-age (80.75%), followed by Grand Isle (80.42%), and Essex (80.16%).
