Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2017, the citizen voting-age population for New Jersey was 6,142,330 and represented 68.55% of the total New Jersey population.

Among all New Jersey counties, Bergen had the highest citizen voting-age population (637.92K), followed by Middlesex (540.85K), and Essex (521.05K).

In terms of percentages, Cape May had the highest percentage of its population being citizens of voting-age (79.92%), followed by Sussex (76.67%), and Hunterdon (76.12%).
