Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2018, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population for South Carolina was 1,281,810 and represented 26.62% of the total South Carolina citizen population.

Among all South Carolina counties, Richland had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population (187.64K), followed by Charleston (106.83K), and Greenville (88.73K).
