Based on the US Census Bureau's special tabulation from the ACS 5-year estimates, in 2020, the Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population for Tennessee was 1,290,900 and represented 19.66% of the total Tennessee citizen population.

Among all Tennessee counties, Shelby had the highest Non-Hispanic Black Alone citizen population (499.79K), followed by Davidson (180.06K), and Hamilton (66.92K).
