According to the US Census Bureau Vintage data estimates, in 2012, the birth rate for Virginia was 12.62. Alexandria city had the highest birth rate (18.34), followed by Manassas city (16.78), and Portsmouth city (16.26) On the other hand, Lexington city had the lowest birth rate (5.71), followed by Williamsburg city (6.08), and Bath County (6.67).
