According to the US Census Bureau estimates, in 2014, the number of births for Illinois was 157,501. Cook County had the highest number of births (69,243), followed by DuPage County (10,683), and Lake County (7,733) On the other hand, Pope County had the lowest number of births (31), followed by Hardin County (35), and Putnam County (41).
