According to the data from the US 2020 Census, as at April 2020, among all South Carolina counties, Greenville County had the highest population density per square mile (668.68 people per sqr mile), followed by Richland County (549.53 people per sqr mile), and Charleston County (444.71 people per sqr mile).

On the other hand, Allendale County had the lowest population density (19.70 people per sqr mile), followed by McCormick County (26.55 people per sqr mile), and Fairfield County (30.52 people per sqr mile).
