United States 2020 Census Total Population By State

The total United States population from the 2020 Census was 331,449,281, based on data from the US Census Bureau. This number is the total of the population from the 50 states and the District of Columbia.

California was the most populated state (39,538,223), followed by Texas (29,145,505), and then Florida (21,538,187). On the other hand, the 3 states that were least populated include: Wyoming (576,851), Vermont (643,077), and Alaska (733,391).
